Blackjack is a large mini horse who came from a reservation in Montana where we were told he was an Indian relay race mini, but that he was too slow and just left on pasture without any care. He had terrible curled hooves but they are well on their way to being healthy. He is quite friendly but is suspicious of new people at first. He is about 15-20 years old. He is up to date on teeth, worming and shots. Blackjack has Cushings syndrome and is insulin resistant and therefore cannot be on pasture or alfalfa hay, he requires Prascend medication per day, just 1 pill. He was an easy keeper all summer but come fall he started to suffer from winter laminitis. He is doing great now with a warm barn at night and turned out on a dry lot with boots and leg wraps (included in adoption). He gets along with everyone. Not adopted out for any riding purposes, just a pet. He would be fine with mellow kids, he won't like to be climbed on or loud children around. Blackjack is great to walk and is pretty darn good for farrier and vet. This sweet boy will melt your heart! Must have an equine companion. $500 adoption fee
Obi is an owner surrender due to their rising health issues. Obi is around 26 years old. He is a BLM burro and owned by same family for 26 years. He is a sweet gentleman who absolutely adores people. He has had laminitis in the past and we want to address his funky feet. We are not sure when Obi will be available for adoption. We do not take waitlists but you are welcome to reach out via email, send in an application and photos of your set up.
